OMD Melbourne wins RMIT

Media agency OMD Melbourne has won the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology media account.    

The announcement:

OMD Melbourne have won the $5m RMIT media account following a competitive tender which was held in November. OMD have won a broad remit; winning both the Campaign and Non Campaign business from incumbents Mitchells & Zenith Optimedia. OMD also have full international responsibilities and will handle overseas (mainly Asian markets) through their global network.

Steve Sinha, Melbourne Managing Director OMD said “RMIT is an iconic Melbourne brand that has always stood for innovation and we are excited about partnering with such a respected institution. The win is testament to the breadth of our resources and we are looking forward to delivering great work for RMIT.”

Cratis Hippocrates, Executive Director Marketing & Communications said that OMD impressed the RMIT procurement panel around their range of media buying and digital capabilities.

“We look forward to working with the OMD team, as we continue to amplify and reinvigorate the RMIT brand and story,” Hippocrates said.

“New creative and a strong brand direction will position Australia’s leading Global, Design and Technology university for the future. We will be rolling out our brand throughout domestic and international markets with OMD’s assistance, primarily in Vietnam and Singapore, where we have over 13,000 students.”
