OMD picks up RACV account from MediaCom
The Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) is to move its $14m media account from MediaCom to OMD, Mumbrella can reveal.
OMD has won the account after facing off against both Mitchell & Partners and incumbent Mediacom.
The review was handled internally and is understood not to have involved a live pitch, with agencies on the shortlist being asked to provide documents only for the process.
RACV marketing manager Carolyn Sandiford confirmed OMD had picked up the account from MediaCom adding there will be a transition period for the account, but declined to comment further on the decision.
The association is the main Victorian motoring club and mutual organisation, providing services such as roadside assistance, insurance and loans.
