OMD retains $10m SCA Group media account

SCA GroupOMD Melbourne has retained the media account for hygiene and paper products company SCA Group after a two way pitch between incumbent and ZenithOptimedia.

The pitch, was revealed by Mumbrella last month, and came about after ZenithOptimedia picked up much of the global media account for the company whose brands include Libra, Purex, Sorbent and Tena.

Andrew Phillips, executive general manager of personal care, SCA Hygiene Australasia commented: “SCA has had a productive history with OMD over many years and we are delighted to be extending our partnership.”

The win was also welcomed by OMD Melbourne managing director Steve Sinha who said: “SCA are a foundation client of OMD Australia and our partnership means an awful lot to us.

“SCA is a business that focuses on strategic thinking and innovation that is linked to business results – and very much aligns with OMD’s philosophy. We look forward to contributing to SCA’s continued success in Australia as we remain very passionate about their business”.

OMD has recently had a number of wins in Melbourne picking up the RACV media and also Pacific Brands account.
