OMD wins Freedom media account

Furniture company Freedom has named OMD as its new media agency of record.

The partnership will see OMD Sydney’s team support Freedom through media investment, strategy and planning work across its offline channels.

Freedom’s head of media and partnerships, Katherine Martin, said in a media release that OMD’s deep understanding of the brand, its business direction, and its ability to work collaborately with Freedom’s marketing team, has made the company excited for its future.

“At Freedom we believe in long-term partnerships, and after eight years with our previous agency we couldn’t pass the opportunity to partner up with OMD to guide our next horizon of growth across Australia and New Zealand,” Martin said.

“The team’s ability to understand our brand and business objectives, to identify future opportunities and bold category moves, and most importantly to quickly build trust and connection with our marketing team has us excited about the next chapter of the Freedom story.”

OMD Sydney’s managing director Amanda Watts also spoke positively of her agency’s latest client, saying that both parties share philosophies on work and partnerships.

OMD’s partnership with Freedom commences immediately.

The unveiling of the agency’s newest client comes six days after it announced Rob Frost of EssenceMediacom as its chief strategy officer.
