Online tradie platform Hipages announces Avenue C as media agency partner

Hipages, the online tradie platform, has appointed Avenue C as its media agency partner.

Avenue C will be trusted with driving further brand awareness for the platform among homeowners and tradies, and joins Hipages’ other partners creative agency VCCP, PR partner DEC PR, and content production team Visual Domain.

Since launching its ‘Change the way you tradie’ integrated platform in 2018, and subsequently appearing on Channel Nine’s The Block, Hipages has reported a significant uplift in brand awareness.

Hipages has been around for 16 years, connecting local trade professionals through its online platform. Last financial year, Hipages saw a job posted every 23 seconds on the platform, leading the on-demand tradie economy for jobs posted.

The company also aims to connect its 36,000 strong base of tradie members with homeowners, and its focus for 2021 is to continue the momentum of the brand for both the tradie and homeowner audiences.

Hipages head of brand and communications, Guillaume Papillon, said the company was impressed with Avenue C’s understanding of its two different audiences.

“We have a unique challenge at hipages in that we’re a marketplace with two distinct audiences; we connect users with trusted tradies across Australia,” he said.

“Not only were we very impressed with Avenue C’s sound understanding of our business and our two different audiences, there is also a clear cultural fit and a shared business ethos that is incredibly important.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Avenue C to the hipages team.”

Avenue C director Will Chapman said Hipages is perfectly aligned to Avenue C’s business.

“We’re thrilled to be appointed by the hipages business. Their passion for achieving real results through open and collaborative partnerships is perfectly aligned to our business, and we look forward to working together to connect even more Australian homeowners to trusted tradies,” he said.
