Ooh Media’s Trish McMahon joins Shopper Media Group

Shortly after former APN Outdoor boss James Warburton added Shopper Media Group to his investment portfolio, the retail digital out-of-home business has expanded its commercial team, adding Trish McMahon to the ranks as commercial director.

McMahon joins from more than six years with Ooh Media in commercial management roles across Retail and Fly.

Prior to that, McMahon was with Adshel NZ.

Shopper Media Group’s chief operating officer, Ed Couche, said McMahon’s appointment is the latest in a series of key recruitments focused on increasing the company’s growth.

“Trish’s experience in both Australia and New Zealand will provide valuable strategic guidance in attracting shopping centre partners who want access to a digital platform that offers innovation, data analytics, consumer insights and best practice in retail out-of-home media,” said Couche.

In her new role, McMahon will focus on maintaining and improving relationships with shopping centres, as well as creating new processes and procedures to facilitate new portfolio acquisitions.

“I’m looking forward to helping grow Shopper Media’s portfolio of shopping centres by offering best-in-class digital media solutions, data collection and analytics,” said McMahon.

“This technology is critical to meeting the needs of shopping centres today and in the future.”

Shopper Media Group CEO Ben Walker said: “We believe in empowering shopping centres with a better understanding of their customers, so they can deliver meaningful, personalised and highly engaging campaigns that improve the shopper experience and support retailers within their centres.

“Trish joins an established and highly professional team that has been instrumental in securing and servicing our network of more than 300 shopping centres nationally, and growing.”

Shopper Media Group covers more than 300 shopping centres with a focus on grocery-centric hubs, and offers shopping centres Smartlite advertising panels, Wi-Fi and virtual beacon technology that tracks shopper behaviour.
