Osher Günsberg, host of reality TV series The Bachelor and podcast Better Than Yesterday, will speak at Mumbrella Audioland alongside Meshel Laurie, comedian, former radio host and co-host of podcast Australian True Crime.

Günsberg and Laurie, whose podcasts are hosted on Acast, will join a panel of audio experts to unpack how on-air personalities can cultivate positive relationships between them and their listeners. They will also explain how to create a sense of community through audio and the role talent plays in creating trust for brands, businesses and listeners.

Gunsberg and Laurie are joining a panel titled ‘The Power of Personality: Building An Audio Brand Listeners Love’

The duo are set to appear on the panel with two more audio experts,  Acast’s content director, Guy Scott-Wilson and Southern Cross Austereo’s head of podcasting, Grant Tothill.

Another special guest panelist from Southern Cross Austereo is soon to be announced.

Mumbrella Audioland takes place on May 5 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.

New York-based Travis Johnson, the global CEO at Podean, an Amazon and marketplace marketing agency, will also join the speaker lineup.

Johnson will discuss how AI is changing the audio voice game

Johnson will deliver a session exploring how technology and voice is shaping the audio industry, how consumers are engaging with voice, how brands can use SEO and search in voice and the future of AI, AR and technology in the audio industry.

He will lift the lid on the future of emotion and measurement, common failures using the medium and how voice and technology can help engage customers in a more personalised way.

The session will bring delegates up-to-date on what the future holds for voice from both an Australian and global perspective.

BBC Global News’ senior vice president of commercial development, Asia and ANZ, Alistair McEwan, is the third international speaker confirmed for Mumbrella Audioland.

McEwan is the third international speaker to join the program

His session will see him unpack BBC’s latest Audio: Activated study and dive deep into the consumer insights every audio advertiser should know. He will also offer his unique insights and experience from branded podcast campaigns.

In addition, McEwan will share key learnings including how the use of keywords creates implicit associations with brands, how branded podcasts can cut through with ad avoiders and how brands can leverage the audio explosion the world is seeing.

Already confirmed to speak at Mumbrella Audioland is the former creative director of commercial audio at Bauer Media UK, Sam Crowther.

Crowther is now the executive creative director at A Million Ads, a marketing and advertising ad-tech start-up specialising in personalised, digital audio campaigns.
