Outdoor advertising reports strong August

The out of home advertising market saw a lift in revenue of 20% in August with a year-to-date increase of more than 18%

The announcement:

The Out-of-Home (OOH) industry today reported a net revenue of $62.0 million for the month of August, an increase of 20.0% from the same month last year, which posted a net revenue of $51.6 million.*

Year-to-date revenue has increased by 18.2%, tracking at $480.4 million, up from
$406.3 million* for the same time last year. Digital Out-of-Home revenue makes up 38.5% of total revenue, up from 24.6% for the same period last year.

  •   Roadside Billboards (over and under 25 square metres)
  •   Roadside Other (street furniture, taxis, bus/tram externals,

    small format)

  •   Transport (including airports)
  •   Retail, Lifestyle and Other^

*Previous years figures have been adjusted to reflect changes in OMA membership to allow for direct comparisons in revenue year-on-year.
^Reported in this category are: shopping centre panels, as well as all place-based digital signs including office media – covering signs in lifts and office buildings, cafe panels, and digital screens in doctors surgeries and medical centres.
