Over 500,000 viewers tune in to Budget coverage on ABC

ABC’s Budget coverage secured the channel 506,000 metro viewers for the Josh Frydenberg’s Treasurer’s speech last night and 425,000 for the coverage itself.

That’s a jump from the 2018 coverage, when Scott Morrison delivered the Treasurer’s speech to 495,000 viewers, and 416,000 tuned into the Budget special.

The coverage was beaten by Married At First Sight which continued its dominance in the number one position with 1,388,000 metro viewers, and My Kitchen Rules which saw 832,000 metro viewers tune in.

Ten’s most watched show of the night was The Project at 7pm which took 426,000 metro viewers.

Travel Guides had its highest episode of all three seasons based on national averages, with 870,000 metro viewers, with that figure rising to 1,188,000 when combined with regional numbers.

Seven took the news crown again, 1,057,000 metro viewers tuned in compared to 866,000 for Nine.

In the daily share Nine was the winner with 26.2%, followed by Seven on 22.1%, ABC on 10.1% and Ten on 8.9%,

At a network level, Nine held the top position with a 34.5% share, followed by Seven Network on 29.5%, ABC on 15.6% and Ten on 13.5%.

In the multi-channels, 10 Bold took the night with 3.2% followed by 9GO! On 3.0%. SBS took 4.5% and 6.8% at a network level.
