Paper Moose creative lead takes up CD role at Those That Do

Ben Walker and Claire Sutton
Those That Do has announced the appointment of Claire Sutton as its new creative director.
Joining the indie full-service creative agency from Paper Moose, where she spent more than a year as its creative lead, Sutton is in charge of spearheading Those That Do’s creative output for clients. This includes acting as the head of the company’s creative team and managing creative direction.
With the appointment taking immediate effect, she will work closely with Those That Do’s chief executive officer and founder, Ben Walker. Sutton’s remit covers the agency’s domestic and international offices: Dubai, Sydney, London and Melbourne.
“Claire is a positively-charged creative, with a track record for bringing a unique energy and style to her work,” Walker said in a press release.
“She has a deep understanding of visual appeal and tone and has been recognised by the industry for her innovative, groundbreaking ideas and process.
Sutton has been working in branding and advertising design for over 15 years. Before Paper Moose, she spent more than three and a half years at creative agency and strategy consultancy Purpose.
She’s also worked at policy and research organisation Reset Australia, brand and innovation business Republic of Everyone, and Clemenger BBDO in creative design and art director roles. Sutton’s clients have included Sydney Water, Absolut Vodka, Salvos Stores, and more.
“With my background in creative direction, design and illustration and my focus on socially responsible communications, Those That Do is the ideal next step in my career – a place where I can continue to bring my unique blend of creativity and purpose to every project,” Sutton said in a media release.

The announcement of Sutton’s appointment at Those That Do comes one week after the agency adopted its current moniker and brand positioning, officially moving away from its previous name, The Do Collective.
According to Walker, the Those That Do label signifies the agency’s evolution from a smaller group of “thinkers and makers” into a full-fledged creative institution.
Sutton’s hiring is not the only appointment Those That Do has made this year. In April, the former chief growth officer of Ogilvy Australia, Nathan Quailey, was named as the agency’s managing director.
