The partnership, which commences in August, will see a unique offering of entertainment available via a dedicated Paramount+ category within Qantas’ In-Flight Entertainment platform, which include wired in-seat services, Qantas supplied devices and the Qantas Entertainment App where available to customers on domestic and international Qantas flights.

Qantas customers will get to stream a variety of Paramount+ content including at launch exclusive series, movies and Paramount+ Originals Super Pumped: The Battle For Uber, The Offer, The First Lady, iCarly, The Man Who Fell To Earth, the Ray Donovan Movie and Star Trek, NCIS and South Park including exclusive movies Streaming Wars, Post Covid and Return of Covid Specials. The service will also include content from Nickelodeon, such as Kamp Koral, Star Trek: Prodigy and Rugrats.

Liz Baldwin, SVP head of streaming, Paramount ANZ, said: “Paramount+ is the home of the biggest names in entertainment, exclusive premium content and the most unique stories.

“Making this must-see content available to Qantas customers across the In-Flight Entertainment services with a dedicated Paramount+ category, is fabulous for travellers and further cements Paramount+ as a powerful player in streaming delivering an exceptional consumer entertainment experience.”

Qantas chief customer officer Stephanie Tully said: “One of the most enjoyable inflight experiences is choosing what movie or show to watch. Our Frequent Flyers tell us that catching up on the latest movies or working their way through a box set on board is one of their most enjoyable inflight experiences. As many parents will attest, it’s also helpful for keeping little ones entertained.”

In February this year, 10 ViacomCBS officially changed its corporate name to Paramount ANZ, announcing the news on the broadcast company’s LinkedIn page.
