Cruel media types have a new nickname for Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph, now that its Pauline Hanson nude photos story has all but collapsed, leaving her promising expensive legal action.
“You might as well rename the Sunday Tele as Pauline’s Pension,” one told Dr Mumbo.
Meanwhile, the row is developing similarities to one involving a former Murdoch editor. Piers Morgan lost his job at the Daily Mirror in the UK after being fooled into putting fake photos on the front page. In another similarity, the source of the pictures was an anonymous ex-army type.
Anyone could see that was not the same nose! And a little checking out quickly unravelled the suggestion that they were photos of the REAL Pauline. I am convinced the Sunday Tele figured it would be worth the money to run them, knowing full well they were not legit.

My old boss Geoff Prosser MP sued the ABC many years ago for defamation and won. He used the money to expand his Bunbury waterfront mansion, and to this day refers to the extension as the ABC room. Nothing like the media for some extra cash 😉
