Pay TV channel TV1 unveils new on-air look
TV1, the pay TV channel that features classic shows such as Seinfeld, Starsky & Hutch and Columbo, has today unveiled new idents and promos as part of a brand refresh.
Created by production company Zspace, idents for the channel’s five’s mini-brands Generic, Comedy, Crime, Afternoons and Groovy Movie were all given a refresh, while maintaining the brand’s overall retro style.
Karen Tran, Zspace lead designer, said: “We carefully created the different looks for each mini-brand to ensure a range of individual identities. The end result is a unique variety of 3D worlds that combine together to form the new look TV1.”
The various TV1 personalities are also featured throughout the main ident. Zspace used a technique that projects the personalities’ 2D image onto a 2D card, which is then placed into a 3D environment.
The new look TV1 went live today on Foxtel and Austar.
