Penten’s Shey Dimon launches new communications consultancy

Shey Dimon has left Penten after two-and-a-half years to launch her own communications consultancy, Nish Communications.

The announcement:

After two and a half years working for cyber technology powerhouse Penten, Shey Dimon their lead for communications and marketing has launched her own communications consultancy; Nish Communications.

Shey has over 18 years’ experience in communications with a heavy specialisation working in defence, technology, engineering and cyber industries.

The demand for communications professionals has risen significantly in the last two years and this sparked Shey’s idea to develop her own business and take control of her time.

“Communication has incredible impact. We are seeing a rise in demand for communications professionals because of the challenges of COVID-19. Suddenly people have realised they need to communicate, and it has to be right, with the correct sentiment and care. It also needs to encourage behavioural change.

“I started Nish because I saw so many start-ups and small businesses struggling to get their name out there, just not knowing how to do it. I could see they had a story to tell, but also not the funds to have a full-time communications or marketing resource. I thought, this is where I can add value and help others,” Ms Dimon said.

With the rise in demand for communications, marketing, and digital media roles worldwide, this is presenting more opportunities for communication professionals to choose how and when they work.

“I also wanted to take back control of my own time. I wanted to decide how much and how often I work and who I work for. I wanted to challenge myself with something new, but also find more balance for my home life,” Ms Dimon said.

Nish Communications offers services such as branding, communications strategies, social media analysis and strategies, media advice and implementation, communications events, internal communications strategies, digital marketing and more.

“Communication is so incredibly broad, but it has to be the core of any business. If no one knows you exist, how will they ever buy from you? Communications should be valued and never underestimated,” Ms Dimon said.

Shey works with her contacts in communication, marketing, design and government relations to deliver fully tailored strategies and implementation to clients.
