Pepsico fills marketing void with Wrigley executive Tami Cunningham

Pepsico has raided rival Mars to fill its vacant marketing director role, at the same time naming a new commercial director.

Tami CunninghamTami Cunningham, who ran Wrigley marketing for the past three years after joining the business from Lion, will start as Pepsico marketing director in two weeks.

Cunningham fills the role vacated by Jenni Dill, who moved to take on the CMO role at McDonalds in April.

In the new role, Cunningham will be in charge for leading Pepsico’s “innovation agenda” across its full portfolio of snack and beverage brands.

Danny Celoni will take on the commercial director role, joining Pepsico from consultancy Real World Marketing where he worked with a number of major FMCG groups.

Pepsico ANZ CEO Robbert Rietbroek said both appointments were important to the future direction of the business.

“We are delighted to welcome both Tami and Danny to the executive team, who each bring with them a wealth of experience,” Rietbroek said.

“Both have strong track records with FMCG brands.  With Tami’s expertise in brand and innovation and Danny’s expertise in joint value creation and business planning, I am confident that they will both be major assets to us, our customers and our partners across ANZ as we continue to build our brands and put the customer at the heart of all we do.”
