Pernod Ricard Winemakers appoints Darryn Hakof as global marketing director

The premium wine division of beverage giant Pernod Ricard has promoted Darryn Hakof to global marketing director, following executive transfers within the business.

Sydney-based Hakof replaces Anne Tresmal, who moves up to become marketing director of Ricard & Pernod in Marseille, France.

Pernod Ricard Winemakers is the premium wine division of Pernod Ricard and founded in 2010

Hakof has nearly 20 years’ experience within the group, most recently as director of strategy and new business for Pernod Ricard Winemakers.

The company said he had developed an extensive knowledge of the Pernod Ricard portfolio and a deep understanding of global wine markets and consumers.

He will report into Bruno Rain, chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard Winemakers.

Hakof said of his new role: “Our portfolio of leading, award-winning, wine brands is one of the most premium and diverse in the industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our talented, innovative and passionate teams, and with our valued global partners, to bring our brand stories to life with consumers around the world.”

Pernod Ricard Winemakers is responsible for the Jacob’s Creek wine brand in Australia, as well as Brancott Estate and Stoneleigh originating from New Zealand.
