Peroni mounts giant Vespa at Taylor Square
A giant Vespa motorbike has been built on top of Taylor Square’s Oxford Hotel in Sydney as part of a Peroni Nastro Azzurro billboard.
The execution for the beer company, which brings together the famous Italian brands, was created by oOh!media and will run for five weeks.
The Vespa was cut from foam and created in seven parts before being assembled on-site yesterday.
John Purcell, head of production at oOh!media said: “This is one of the largest 3D foam special builds we’ve ever done, at four metres and more than 120 kilograms, but the 3D effect will make a huge impact both during the day and at night.”
Peroni Nastro Azzurro marketing manager Jenny Carey said: “It’s an eye catching concept, in a high traffic area. Coming into the summer holiday period, we wanted to find an effective and stylish way to get the Peroni Nastro Azzurro brand out there, reminding consumers of the beer’s Italian heritage and authenticity, through the interaction with another iconic premium Italian brand.”
that’s not a motorbike, it’s a scooter…

Just walked past this today – looks fantastic.

Saw it on the taxi, cool but couldn’t really see what was it at a glimpse, the angle from the road was hard to see the whole scooter, only the top half.

I like seeing executions like that. Much more interesting than a simple, flat, billboard.

Is a Vespa crashing through a billboard really the best way to sell alcohol? Really?
