Perth radio ratings: Hit92.9 loses traction as Nova dominates drive and breakfast
Perth’s Nova93.7 has dominated survey seven’s radio ratings, winning both breakfast and drive, while Mix94.5 maintained its overall lead with a share of 14.1%.
Improving from survey six’s 13.7% overall share, Mix94.5 managed to beat Nova’s 12.7% share despite a 0.5 point climb from the last survey.
A few share points behind, 96FM finished in third despite jumping 1.5 points from its previous 9.1% share to 10.6%.
6JJJ clocked in at fourth place with a 9.8% overall audience share.
Despite dipping a whole 1.1 points from 9.1% to 8%, ABC Perth still just about managed to beat out Hit92.9, which struggled, with its 7.8% overall share dropping 1.8 points from survey six
ABC News 1.7% overall share.
Perth’s breakfast battle saw Nova finish as the clear FM winner as Nathan, Nat & Shaun managed a 14% share despite falling 0.2 points from the previous survey.
Coming in second was Mix94.5 as the station finished with a 12.2% share from last survey’s 12.3%.
96FM’s Music breakfast with Brad Pottinger saw a breakfast share of 9.4% climbing 1.2 points.
Hit92.9 came fifth and was beaten by 6JJJ’s 9.6% share as Hit’s Heidi, Will and Woody – who are set to debut on Kiis FM’s drive program next year – dropped 2.3 points.
The AM stations saw ABC Perth come out on top for commercial stations with an 11.8% share beating 6PR’s 11% and 6RN’s 2.6%.
The drive battle once again saw Nova’s Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold dominate with a 14.7% share compared to last survey’s 14.6% share.
Hot on the heels of Nova, Mix94.5’s Lisa & Pete scored a 14% share as it gained an extra 0.8 points from last survey.
Coming in third place was Hit92.9’s Hamish and Andy which lost a huge 3.2 points from 13.1% to 9.9%.
Meanwhile 96FM managed a fourth place position with 9.5% despite climbing 0.8 points from the previous survey.
In the commercial drive battle 6PR saw an 8.1% share ahead of ABC Perth’s 6% share.
