Perth radio ratings: Mix 94.5 records 100th straight win despite ratings tumble
Southern Cross Austereo radio station Mix 94.5 has recorded its 100th straight ratings victory in Perth – despite taking a hit in share.
The number one station fell from 15.6% to 12.8% share Monday to Sunday, and now findings Today Network’s 92.9 and 96FM breathing down its neck, according to Nielsen figures.
Mix 94.5 fell even further in the weekday ratings, dropping 3.1 percentage points to 12.4% share, and now finds itself neck and neck with Today Network’s 92.9 as the number one station Monday to Friday.
Mix 94.5’s biggest fall was in the afternoon slot from noon to 4pm, when it fell from 17.5% to 13.6% share.
Guy Dobson, head of metro at Southern Cross Austereo, commented: “12 years at number one is pretty good for a radio station.”
DMG’s Nova was the big achiever of the survey, up 2.4 percentage points from Monday to Sunday to 11.2% share.
Nova is now close behind ABC720 in fourth place in the market, and closing in on 96FM, which also went well rising from 10.8% to 11.7% share.
