Perth radio ratings: Mix takes second win of the year but race tightens between Hit and Nova

Mix94.5 has dominated the second radio survey of the year for Perth, however, the race for second place between Hit 92.9 and Nova 93.7 is quickly closing in.

Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix comfortably held the top spot ahead of Nova and Hit with a 14.5% share, up 0.2 ratings points from the last survey.

While Nova and Hit had shares of 12.4% and 9.4% respectively at the end of survey one, the gap has tightened with Nova slipping 0.6 points to a share of 11.8% and Hit climbing 1.4 points to a share of 10.8%.

Mix’s Lisa and Pete returned to the top spot in drive despite a 2.6 point loss in survey one, up 0.2 points to 14.2%.

While Nova dominated drive in survey one, Kate, Tim and Marty fell into second place in survey two with a 0.6 ratings point loss.

The station managed a 13.5% drive share.

Hit’s Hamish and Andy managed to gain 0.6 ratings points, putting them in third place with a share of 12.6%.

The duo have progressively increased in the ratings over the past two surveys.

It was an easy win for Mix in breakfast, with Clairsy, Matt & Kymba up 0.9 points to a share of 14.7%.

The breakfast show has experienced a strong year so far, gaining 1.3 ratings points in survey one.

Hit’s breakfast offering with Heidi, Will and Woody jumped 1.7 points, bringing its share up to 10.3%.

The station significantly tightened its gap with Nova 93.7 which suffered a 0.5 ratings point loss, bringing its share to 12.2%.

On AM, ABC Perth, formerly known as ABC 720, dominated survey two despite its 1.3 ratings point loss, with a share of 9.4%, ahead of 6PR’s share of 6.9%.

Despite ratings point losses across both breakfast and drive, ABC Perth managed to hold the top spot in both time periods.
