Perth radio ratings: Nova continues its reign on breakfast

Nova 93.7 continues to maintain its top spot overall for People 10+, Breakfast, and Drive in the third GfK metro ratings survey of 2022, while being closely tailed by Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix 94.5.

6JJJ maintained its consistent 6.8% share. 6RN saw an overall loss of 0.2% bump to a 1.6% share, with 96 FM taking a disappointing 1.9% blow to overall ratings, finishing on 11.9%.

In breakfast, Nova 93.7’s Nathan, Nat and Shaun suffered a trough in ratings, dipping 0.9%. The trio still led the way in the breakfast slot at 15.7%, with Mix 94.5’s Pete, Matt & Kymba, and ABC PER trailing behind at 12.5% and 11.9% respectively.

Nine’s 6PR’s Breakfast with Gareth Parker continued its decline, dropping 0.7 in the breakfast slot and 0.7 percentage points overall, down from 6.9% in April.

ABC News Radio came last place in the breakfast ratings, sitting at 1.8. Other losses were seen in 96 FM, who dropped down 1.4 in the breakfast slot to 10.6%.

In Drive, Kate, Tim and Joel held the majority listenership, capturing 14.3% of the overall share. Nova was closely followed by Mix 94.5’s Carrie and Tommy, which boasted 13.6% of the market. Following first and second place in Drive were 96 FM and 6JJJ, with 11.1% and 9.5% respectively.

Survey three ran from Sunday 27 February to Saturday 17 April and Sunday 17 April to Saturday 21 May.
