Peta Credlin to join Alan Jones’ Sky News program
News Corp columnist Peta Credlin is set to join Alan Jones as a co-host on the Jones & Co show on News Corp’s Sky News channel.
The show will air on Tuesdays at 8.00pm, with the duo discussing political issues and interviewing guests from across the political spectrum.
Credlin is the head of group policy and business development at Consolidated Press Holdings and was previously the chief of staff in the office of the Prime Minister for two years during Tony Abbott’s leadership.
Sky News has also announced it has started planning a new program which will be anchored by Credlin with more details to come later this year.
In February, Sky News flagged Credlin’s role with the broadcaster was increasing, noting she would be based full time at its Macquarie Park studios and would “form a part of the faily analysis of political events”.
In December last year, News Corp bought out Seven and Nine to fully acquire the parent company of Sky News Australia, Australian News Channel.
At the time of the acquisition, News Corp’s executive chairman Michael Miller said the move showcased News Corp’s “continued commitment to quality journalism, talent and content”.
“The acquisition has come about because News Corp Australia recognises the increasing value of Sky News; its employees, the shows they host and the audience it attracts. Together, we will ensure the strengths and benefits of each company are leveraged fully in the long-term.”
Geez, talk about an echo chamber of nutters. What possible need is there for more content of this ilk?

Alan and Peta, I will not be sorry to see Turnbull go. I….like many voted for Tony Abbott as he had conservative values. Turnbull impressed me as a Labour MP. Which I do not believe in. I am not in favour of NEG or the Paris agreement. I would personally like Tony but Peter Dutton has my values.

What idiots we have running this country when we close down our coal powered electricity plants & then sell our coal to China & India who are building more coal powered plants to produce extra electricity. In the meantime we are receiving massive electricity bills because we are producing our electricity from expensive, unreliable wind & solar farms. We also sell our uranium to countries who are using it to produce nuclear powered electricity. We should build our own nuclear powered stations & bring down our power bills.
