Peter Bosilkovski departs as Leo Burnett Sydney CEO
The CEO of Leo Burnett Sydney, Peter Bosilkovski, has resigned from the agency.
Bosilkovski said making the decision to depart Leo Burnett wasn’t an easy one as the agency has one of the best cultures in the industry.
“But after nearly nine years, it was time to resign as the CEO of the Sydney office to pursue the next chapter of my career, which I’ll be able to announce in the near future,” he said.
“The greatest privilege and honour has been to work alongside such world-class talent and amazing client partners who always have your back and are prepared to scale walls to be the best in the world. This has certainly been the highlight. Leo Burnett has helped shape me as the leader I am today, and I wish them all the success in the future.”
Bosilkovski joined Leo Burnett in 2009 as its client services director and was promoted to the role of managing director five years later.
He held the MD title for almost four years before being promoted to CEO in 2015 to replace celebrity CEO Todd Sampson.
CEO of Leo Burnett Australia, Melinda Geertz, said: “Peter has spent nearly nine years as a leader in our Sydney office. We have loved his energy, ambition and, above all, his commitment to creativity and innovation. It’s been a pleasure working with him, and on behalf of all of us at Leo Burnett, I want to thank Peter for his contributions and his years of dedication to this agency. We wish him great success.”
The agency is currently searching for Bosilkovski’s replacement.
No one pushed creatives and clients harder to make great work than Pete. Congrats mate. You’ll smash what ever comes next.
