Peters Ice Cream appoints Leo Burnett Melbourne as its advertising agency
Peters Ice Cream has awarded its advertising business to Leo Burnett Melbourne, bringing to an end the tenure of incumbent Publicis Mojo Melbourne.
The news comes less than a year after Nestlé Australia sold Peters to an Australian private equity firm.
Peters marketing director, Emma-Jane Collins, said in a statement: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Leo Burnett. It’s an exciting new chapter for our business, and we see the agency as a key partner to our continued success. Burnett is a great fit for Peters, and we’re really looking forward to their contribution in helping us build our brands”.
Leo Burnett Melbourne CEO Melinda Geertz added: “Peters is one of the true iconically Australian brands, and it’s an honour to have this opportunity to partner with them. They are ambitious and energized about their future, and we can’t wait to create some great work together.”
Peters brands include Connoisseur, Frosty Fruits, Drumstick, Monaco Bar, Heaven and Skinny Cow.
The media account, handled by Zenith Optimedia – which shares the same building as Mojo – stays where it is.
well problem 1: how to find the company now it’s not Nestles when you want to tell them about a product seeming to have changed in terms of its recipe. You googler Peters Icecream and see what happens… so if you see anyone, let them know the softer, sweeter, drumstick is NOT a hit, nor is its paper thin chocolate etc…. thought the last could be overall the taste is too sweet and teh texture just NOT ‘Ice Cream’.

Iam just so happy that it is back in Australian hands again, I did not buy any Peters products when nestle took them over. Iwill buy them now.
