PHD Melbourne names Renee Toone as business director
PHD Melbourne has appointed Renee Toone as business director.
The announcement:
PHD Melbourne today announced the appointment of Renee Toone to the role of Business Director, responsible for servicing clients such as Priceline, Simonds Homes and MYOB.
Renee has been in the Omnicom Media Group for over 12 years specialising in entertainment, FMCG and technology brands. The last 2 of those years has been with PHD, where she has been instrumental in the growth of PHD’s Melbourne office. She will now lead a team that has tripled in size in the last 12 months. Renee will report directly to General Manager Daniel Isaac.
Commenting on the appointment, Renee said, “I am extremely excited to be responsible for this intelligent, high energy team. These guys are ready to tackle any situation and are not afraid to get their hands dirty. I am enjoying working closely with Daniel and the wider PHD team to continue to provide the best quality service to our clients.”
PHD has also announced the internal promotions of Kathryn Weatherlake to Business Planning Director on the Australia division of ANZ Bank and Schalk Van Der Sandt to Head of Digital, Melbourne.
Kathryn is one of the foundation members of the Melbourne team has been key to the great results achieved on the ANZ account since the agency won the business back in 2011. Kathryn has achieved recognition for her capabilities, being short-listed twice for industry Young Achiever of the Year Awards, and winning one of them in 2104.
Schalk’s promotion will see him take further responsibility for driving digital innovation for PHD. He has worked at PHD for over 2.5 years.
Commenting on his promotion, Schalk said, “I am excited about building on the great work that we’ve done in Melbourne thus far. Delivering consistent, market-leading solutions will require us to stay curious, and to interrogate every opportunity. I look forward to leading the leap into the future with the fantastic team that we have here.”
These promotions follow the recent announcement of Daniel Isaac to General Manager of the Melbourne office.
