Mamamia names former Ikon strategic consultant Georgia Thomas as national strategy director
Former Ikon Communications strategic consultant Georgia Thomas has joined the Mamamia Women’s Network as national strategy director, replacing Laura Fitzpatrick who departed last month.
Thomas joins MWN after numerous roles with Ikon over the last eight years.
In a statement MWN national sales director Kylie Rogers said in a statement: “I am thrilled to have a national strategy director with Georgia’s extensive expertise leading our strategy & integration team. She will be working collaboratively with our Research & Insights experts Dr Rebecca Huntley and Tegan Gilchrist. Together, they are a powerhouse combination and no-one knows women better.
“MWN are building an increasing number of large scale clients partnerships and Georgia’s experience will ensure we continue to deliver innovative media solutions that engage women and deliver great results as part of these partnerships.”
Commenting on her new role Thomas said in a statement: ““I’ve watched the remarkable growth of the Mamamia Women’s Network from an agency side, and am immensely excited to be working with them and their clients to build accountable, insight led partnerships. The power of this hugely influential audience combined with the right brand conversations are a force to be reckoned with!”
Thomas will report directly into Rogers.
The company has also appointed Women’s Agenda editor Georgina Dent as associate editor of Mamamia and freelance writer Wendy Squires as senior editor on Mamamia to be based in Melbourne.
Georgia is an incredible talent, and lady, I wish her and the team at Mamamia the best of luck.
