Holden promotes top marketer Philip Brook

The top marketer at car manufacturer Holden, Philip Brook, has been promoted to executive director, vehicle sales, service and marketing effective October 1.

The role extends his responsibilities to cover Holden Service Parts Operations, customer satisfaction and service retention, and Holden New Zealand in addition to the national dealer network.

In his current role as executive director of sales and marketing Brook has introduced the new ‘Think Holden’ brand campaign, developed with AJF Partnership, and launched the car manufacturer’s largest ever product portfolio,

Mike Devereaux, Holden managing director, said Brook was in a strong position to strengthen the company’s sales, customer service and marketing.

He said: “Phil is one of the most experienced executives in Australian Automotive Industry and I am confident that he will drive Holden to great success in the coming months and years.”

Brook joined Holden in 2004 as a marketing manager, having previously worked in sales and marketing with Nissan and Honda.

He was made director of Holden Marketing in 2007 and in 2011 became director of sales. Brook was made executive director of sales and marketing in 2012.

Holden has around 6500 staff in Australia and an annual media spend of $45m to $50m, according to Nielsen.
