Phillip Island appoints PR agency

Phillip Island has appointed Flourish PR as its PR agency.

The announcement:

Destination Phillip Island Regional Tourism Board, which supports tourism marketing and development of the Phillip Island region of Victoria, has appointed Flourish PR after a competitive pitch process.

Flourish PR, a creative communications agency based in Collingwood, will oversee destination Public Relations activity for the region from this week. With a team led by Managing Director Angela Ceberano, the agency will seek to promote growth and development of the tourism industry in the area.

Kim Storey, General Manager of Destination Phillip Island, says, “We are looking forward to kicking off our partnership with Flourish PR and working with the team to celebrate the wonderful range of experiences we have here on the Island for travellers.

“We’re confident they have the right skills and passion to deliver an exciting campaign that will raise awareness, attract visitors from across Australia and deliver much-needed support to our regional tourism businesses.”

Whilst Phillip Island has traditionally been seen as a summer destination, the current season has much to offer including the opportunity to witness the annual whale migration in the area and even see the expanse of the Milky Way on an overnight stay – so the communications strategy will be rolled out immediately from today.

“We are thrilled to welcome Destination Phillip Island to the Flourish family and can’t wait to get started”, says Angela Ceberano.

“As Australia’s tourism industry is dealing with ongoing challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are more committed than ever before to supporting partners such as Phillip Island and promoting some of the excellent experiences on our doorstep”.

Destination Phillip Island joins other Flourish clients in the tourism space, including Jayco, Let’s Go Motorhomes, Essendon Airport, Avalon Airport, Mitchelton Winery, THE LUME Melbourne and Gumbuya World.

The agency also services clients in the technology, FMCG, entertainment, fashion, corporate and sports spheres. In addition to a ‘traditional PR’ offering, Flourish provides services that span across public relations and social media, through to influencer marketing, branding, creative and production. All content – including videography, photography, podcasting and more – is run in-house and tailored to news, social media or advertising outputs.
