Playmaker signs first look deal with FremantleMedia
David Taylor/David Maher’s production company Playmaker has signed a multi-year first look deal with FremantleMedia Enterprises, working together to develop, fund and distribute content.
“Playmaker’s goal is to produce authored, distinctive and commercially successful Australian drama. We’re absolutely thrilled to be working with the FME team in making that happen,” said Taylor.
The deal includes the projects that came out of the SCRIBE program – a writing development initiative backed by Screen Australia’s Enterprise program.
The partners are workin on the multi-platform drama Slide for Fox8 (a co-production with Hoodlum).
The deal is part of FME’s global strategy to develop more scripted content.
