Poem makes nine new hires after account growth

PR and social agency Poem has expanded its team in response to new business wins with Nestle, OPSM, Salad Servers and Audika.

Kate Baddeley has been hired as senior account director and lead on the integrated Nespresso account. Brogan Lipman has also joined the business as social lead and Rhania Farah has been named PR group account director after two years with the business.

The new accounts have also coincided with the growth of Poem Studio, the agency’s growing content division. Co-Founder and executive creative director, Matt Holmes, is expanding his remit to include a chief creative role for the studio.

Holmes said: “Putting PR thinking at the beginning of the creative process and also focusing on emotive social-first content that people will care about has resulted in our strongest year ever, during the hardest year ever.

“The talent that we’ve added across PR, social and our Studio offering is really exciting and I’m loving the experience they’re bringing for clients and new business, and how they’re all challenging us to be even better moving forward.”

Co-founder and managing director, Rob Lowe, added: “The last year has been both a challenge and an opportunity for many agencies. Having laid the foundations of an innovative PR approach over the last six years, we were lucky enough to emerge from the scariest months of COVID, far stronger than when we went in. Our more human approach to PR and social is even more relevant and effective in today’s more digital media world, than ever before.”

In total, Poem has made nine new hires. Poem Studio has also added an agency line producer and content creator that will report into business director, Katie Raleigh.

Holmes and Lowe will be speaking at Mumbrella CommsCon in Sydney on 27 May. Secure your ticket to the event here.
