In the education portfolio, levelled reading program Wushka has hired Polkadot Communications, and Mumble by Design, an acoustic solutions company, has also engaged the agency.

The agency has also been appointed by Australian author Alex Ryvchin to launch his new children’s book, A New Day, which is about coronavirus.

Across all new clients, Polkadot Communications will be responsible for stakeholder engagement, content creation, influencer outreach, media relations and experience creation.

Dionne Taylor, Polkadot Communications founder, said the new clients were keeping the agency busy.

“We have seen an opportunity with our past clients and opportunities for new customers to add their voice of authority in the media at this time. Some pitches are COVID-19 related, whilst others are an ‘always-on’ approach. We are incredibly busy supporting our new clients and our existing portfolio,” she said.

In April, the agency announced it has opened a hotline for small businesses and not-for-profits which are struggling due to COVID-19 and need communications support.

Earlier this year, Polkadot won the PR accounts for Trip.com and NOMO chocolate. The agency’s clients also include Palmer’s, The Fitness Show, Cacao Café, Look Fantastic, and The Empire State Building.
