Pollenizer appoints Bronwen Clune

Bronwen Clune has been drafted into the role of web strategist at Pollinizer.

The announcement:

Pollenizer, has appointed Bronwen Clune as a web strategist to their business and marketing team. Specialising in marketing for web-based businesses, Pollenizer has created a niche for launching Australian start-ups and helping US ones enter the local market.

Bronwen will be initially working on the Blurb account, but will also be working with other clients to help build new online businesses and grow existing ones.

Blurb is web-based print on demand publisher that allows anyone to design and print professional quality books. It describes itself as a community that believes passionately in the joy of books reading them, making them, sharing them, and selling them.

Clune said “Blurb is taking two of the most significant revolutions in the history of communication the printing press and the internet and using one to enable the other in ways that were not previously possible.”

“While were all caught up in the digital publishing revolution, with the recent launch of the iPad, Blurb has taken the best of new technologies and used it to enable anyone to publish their own book” Clune said.

“Its not so much about disrupting old media models, but constructing new ones, and personally I find that exciting.”

Blurb is currently working with a number of creative communities and individuals in Australia and New Zealand to enable them to publish books for different and varying projects. They are looking for partnerships for Blurb services, including its soon to be launched API, which enables anyone to offer their customers the opportunity to be self-published.

Outside of work, Bronwen acts as a digital strategist on a number of advisory boards, including the Public Interest Journalism Foundation, a non-profit organisation, which has a number of online driven projects looking to support the future of journalism.
