Presto kicks off campaign focusing on content library and pricing
Following the launch of its TV product last week Foxtel and Network Seven’s streaming joint venture Presto has kicked off a TV campaign highlighting its content library and pricing.
The TV spot, created internally, is a montage of the various content users will find in the service’s library set against music repeating the phrase “so unbelievable”. It ends with the tagline “How much can you watch for $9.99 a month?”

The campaign coincides with rival streaming platform Stan’s invitation to the public to preview the service which is a joint-venture between Nine and Fairfax Media.
So the BWM campaign has been ditched and they’ve gone in house with a hopelessly forgettable retail ad. If Presto doesn’t fulfil the role of defending Foxtel’s premium position it’s a goner. It’s the sole reason it exists!
This is also the same Presto that also ditched The Works a year ago too.

Presto TV doesn’t work on my Android devices. Stan does..Netflix does…I just couldn’t be bothered looking at Foxtel’s offering when it won’t work on my equipment.
Foxtel have been blathering on for the past couple of years about Android connectivity for Foxtel Play and Go, saying they are “working on it”. I left Foxtel last year for this very reason. It just never happened. They are backward, cynical and don’t respect their customers.
Not only that they are try to charge more than their competitors for their less functional product.
No thanks….

Just signed up with Stan for my free month trial. Not a lot between Stan and Presto in terms of content – I guess it’ll come down to user experience and customer service, pricing etc. Given their current (very low) pricing , and the very high cost of content , they’re both going to have to sign up ALOT of customers for this thing to be financially viable. Meantime, the consumer wins!

Get Netflix USA with a GeoBlocker and get the large library, you can then select any country you want. Fantastic. Amazon and a few others for new releases if needed. Foxtel is hopeless.

$9.95 for TV, $9.95 for movies or $14.95 for both. Foxtel is typically overpriced when the competitors are offering everything for $9.95 and a better service and content. Presto is already a sinking ship and with these rubbish spots they will only sink faster. The Presto marketing dept needs a real wake up. Whoever came up with Unbelievable needs their head checked.
