Presto streaming service available on Google Chromecast

Entertainment streaming services has today debuted on Google’s Chromecast and will also become available on Android devices the company announced today.

Presto, Australia’s premier entertainment streaming service, today signaled its move into Australian living rooms with upcoming availability on Google Chromecast. Today’s news follows Google’s announcement that Chromecast goes on sale in Australia today and sets in motion Presto’s foray onto household TV screens.

Presto’s announcement is accompanied by news that the entertainment service will be broadening its availability across selected Android tablets offering even greater access to Presto’s premium ‘all-you-can-eat’ movies service. Presto will arrive on Google Chromecast and selected Android tablets starting in July.  The service features content from Foxtel Movies channels, boasting a regularly updating collection of great films, ad-break free, for $19.99 per month.

The current Presto movie line-up includes blockbuster favourites The Great GatsbyFast & Furious 6Monsters UniversityWorld War Z and Elysium.  All of these titles and more are available with a Presto subscription.  Additional hits coming in June and July include Grown Ups 2, The Hangover Part 3, Man of Steel and The Croods along with an impressive selection of others and a great collection of past favourites.

Presto is available as a special offer to new customers for $4.99* in their first month. Subscribers can connect to Presto in minutes and are free to come and go from the service on a monthly basis, with no lock-in contract, and without the need to buy through a basic tier.

The movie service features an intuitive interface and delivers the best in local and international movies including curated collections, recommendations and critics’ reviews from Rotten Tomatoes.  Viewers can already enjoy Presto via PC, Mac and iOS tablets and starting July on their home TV using Google Chromecast along with selected Android devices.

All Presto movies are ad-break-free and the service offers films from all eight Foxtel Movies live channels including: Foxtel Movies Disney, Foxtel Movies Premiere, Foxtel Movies Comedy, Foxtel Movies Romance, Foxtel Movies Thriller, Foxtel Movies Action, Foxtel Movies Family, and Foxtel Movies Masterpiece, as well as access to on demand movies from these channels.

Foxtel Movies offers the best from all the major studios and key independents including MGM, NBCUniversal, Paramount Pictures, Roadshow Films, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros.
