KidspotThe announcement:

Australia’s number one parenting site kidspot.com.au is expanding into print this weekend with a brand new section in The Daily Telegraph.

The addition of Kidspot is part of a continued evolution for The Daily Telegraph on Saturday, to have more specialised content categories to help its readers plan their weekend. The multi-platform offering also allows for more innovative and creative advertising opportunities.

The Daily Telegraph’s Saturday editor Jeni O’Dowd said: “Mums and female readers are an important demographic for The Daily Telegraph on Saturday. Kidspot has an enviable relationship with Australian mums and I’m delighted that we are extending the brand in to print in The Daily Telegraph as it delivers a one-stop shop for parenting needs.”

The section will be part of a revamped Best Weekend lift out with its own cover and masthead.

Each week the kidspot.com.au section will feature:
– an in-depth feature on those tricky parenting issues every mum and dad has to tackle

– a dad’s column

– conversation starting news bites

– learn and play content featuring games and crafts which teach through fun
– family happiness expert Dr Justin will answer readers questions
– content that has been trending on Kidspot that week

The leading player in parenting for eight years Kidspot has a highly engaged, loyal and targeted audience. It is Australia’s leading parenting vertical with a unique audience of over 900,000* women.

Executive editor of kidspot.com.au Alex Brooks said: “It’s exciting to be part of a digital masthead like Kidspot, which has enough richness and depth to earn a place in the weekend newspaper. Kidspot users will love having another media touch point to add to the social, mobile, email and online interactions they already enjoy.

“Parenting is not a tiny niche of baby-obsessed mothers anymore. Family lifestyle is a broad, multi-layered category relevant to the millions of mums and dads in Australia raising the next generation of toddlers, preschoolers, school kids, tweens and teens.”

The Daily Telegraph (Sat) has a readership of 877,000** making it the go-to print resource on Saturdays in New South Wales.
