Former Rubicon Project boss Adele Wieser takes over at Index Exchange

Wieser was a founding partner of media consulting firm Colab and Australian head of the Rubicon Project until the end of 2015.

“I’ve had the unique opportunity to introduce Index’s values and culture to the Australian programmatic community, and working closely with the executive team, am excited to help publishers add more choice to their stack,” said Wieser.

“Now that Janette’s joined us, we’re building deeper relationships with buyers to add even more value to our publisher relationships. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be working for a company so dedicated to sustaining the power of premium journalism and look forward to building a robust team with similar values in the region.”

“Adele is an established and experienced leader in the market, and her focus on local publishers and buyers will allow Index to bring the benefits of competition and choice to the Australian programmatic ecosystem,” said Index Exchange’s head of international, James Prudhomme.

“The entire team is beyond impressed with the value Adele has already delivered, and we’re excited Janette is now part of the team. We look forward to establishing long-term and trusted relationships with publishers and buyers in the region.”

Index plans to hire several employees in Sydney over the next year as part of its push to increase its global headcount to 200 and already has several partners including News Corp, Seven West Media, Realestate.com.au, eBay, Fairfax Australian Community Media and Gumtree.
