Promotion for Nine’s Michael Healy
The shakeup at Nine has continued with programming boss Michael Healy promoted to director of TV across Nine, Go and Gem.
Nine MD Jeff Browne,said: “Michael is an outstanding executive having delivered very significant ratings growth in 2010. Michael has enormous skill and capacity, demonstrated over a long and sustained period with Nine, and the addition of our new channels creates a further opportunity to use his skill and experience to deliver further incremental growth across our broader schedule.”
Andrew Backwell will become director of Nine’s programming and production
The moves follow the appointment of Nine boss David Gyngell as CEO of parent company PBL which he has since renamed Nine Entertainment Co.
Tim Burrowes founded Mumbrella in 2008. He worked on Mumbrella until 2021. At various points he was editor, content director and editor-at-large.
