Prue Cox joins LinkedIn as marketing solutions boss

Former Pacific Magazines commercial director Prue Cox is set to join LinkedIn as director of marketing solutions for Australia and New Zealand.

The news follows the announcement Cox will finish up with Pacific Magazines this Friday, after 15 months in her role.

Cox’s news comes a day after the announcement of her departure from Pacific Magazines

She replaces Matt Tindale, who was promoted to country manager of LinkedIn for Australia and New Zealand and head of enterprise for LinkedIn’s Asia Pacific marketing solutions Pacific five months ago.

Reporting directly to Tindale, Cox will use her experience in creating large scale digital transformation programs and leading brand solutions teams to drive revenue growth.

A former NewsLifeMedia executive, Cox joined the publishing giant in July last year, replacing Gereurd Roberts, who was then appointed as general manager of food family and home.

Prior to Pacific Magazines, Cox was chief commercial officer at NewsLifeMedia for five months and was also formerly managing director of taste.com.au and kidspot.com.au.

She is also a non-executive board member of Theatre of Image, which focuses on entertaining children and families.

Tindale said he was delighted to welcome Cox to LinkedIn.

“Her commercial expertise combined with her deep insight working on transformational programs in the Australian media and digital industry will be a great asset to our team and customers,” he added.

Cox said LinkedIn has an “incredible” and “transformational” culture.

“Matt and the team have done an outstanding job building the Marketing Solutions business and I look forward to the opportunity to continue this growth,” she said.

Cox will commence her role on November 6.
