PubMatic announces two senior appointments

PubMatic has announced two new senior appointments on the back of growth in the Asia-Pacific region. Jason Barnes has been appointed as vice president of Asia Pacific and Dylan McBride has been promoted to country manager, Australia and New Zealand. The company has also established a new relationship with Multi Channel Network (MCN).

The announcement:

PubMatic, the cloud-based programmatic advertising platform company for leading publishers, today announced the appointment of Jason Barnes as its Vice President of Asia-Pacific to support the continued growth of PubMatic in the region. To support this appointment, Dylan McBride has been promoted to Country Manager, Australia & New Zealand, following a strong year of development for PubMatic in the Australian market.

In addition, PubMatic recently was selected by Multi Channel Network (MCN) in Australia to deploy a programmatic trading solution for its premium digital inventory, including targeted audience segments.

Commenting on the partnership, Nick Young, MCN National Sales Director said: “To support the growth of our digital business, we have invested in a system that will help us deliver efficient advertising trades for MCN and its agency partners. The PubMatic platform helps us manage the yield and ad inventory usage of digital assets across all sales channels, improving our ad inventory utilisation and yield for non-direct campaigns. It captures additional demand in the market and then delivers this to our agencies and advertisers through an automated channel. We are delighted to be partnering with PubMatic as their technology will mean agency partners will be better served and able to efficiently manage their campaigns whilst accessing additional ad inventory.”

Rob Jonas, Chief Revenue Officer at PubMatic comments: “Publishers across the whole region are seeing the increasing impact of programmatic advertising. With Real Time Bidding display ad spending set to reach $276 million[1] this year in the APAC region; we are growing to meet this demand and to support publishers, media owners and sales houses as they introduce programmatic solutions to capture this market opportunity.

“Jason joins PubMatic with 15 years of experience with leading global media owners, specifically to lead our growth efforts across Asia-Pacific. At the beginning of this year we announced a strategic partnership with So-Net Media Networks to support our expansion into Japan, where we continue to build our market presence.”

PubMatic has also promoted Judith Engel to Director Client Services for Asia-Pacific where she will assume responsibility for all Account Management in the region.
