PZ Cussons appoints Clemenger BBDO as creative agency of record

Clemenger BBDO has been appointed as the creative agency of record for British manufacturer PZ Cussons following an extensive pitch process.

The appointment will see Clems handle creative for a number of the company’s hygiene, baby and beauty brands, including Morning Fresh and Rafferty’s Garden.

The news comes fresh off the back of Friday’s revelation that the agency’s Sydney CEO, Brent Kerby, would be ending his short tenure at the agency later this year, as he leaves the industry to pursue a number of personal projects.

Of the new appointment, Julian Bell, managing director at Clemenger BBDO said: “It’s a terrific opportunity to be working with such a powerhouse of the hygiene, baby and beauty industries, particularly given PZ Cussons’ sustainability leadership. We’re thrilled to be working on brands that are so well loved by Australians and look forward to helping them achieve their next stage of growth.”

Shaun Peverill, director of communications at PZ Cussons, added: “ We are delighted to commence working in partnership with Clemenger BBDO, throughout the process of agency assessment we have been nothing but impressed with the calibre of the team, strategic approach and creativity demonstrated. We are looking forward to working together on consumer centric ideas that build our brands for today and tomorrow.”
