Qantas and Ooh Media team up to raise money to send Australian Paralympic athletes to Sochi
Qantas and Ooh Media have teamed up to help send the Australian Paralympic athletes to the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, donating $5,000 directly to the team for every time an Ooh Fly airport advertising package is booked in the Qantas Terminals.
The two companies are aiming to raise more than $200,000 to help the Australia Paralympic Committee’s target to the the team to Sochi, however the companies will only make the donation if the package is booked prior to February 14 and displayed before June 30.
Ooh CEO Brendon Cook said in a statement: “Qantas and Ooh see this as not only a way for advertisers to not only fly their own flag but to get behind helping our Paralympic athletes get to Sochi and fulfil their dreams.”
As part of the campaign, Ooh is offering “tailored packages at competitive rates” across its digital airport network in Qantas domestic bookings made over the next two weeks under the campaign banner ‘Pledge Their Belief’.
“We have already received tremendous support for the campaign from advertisers with Starcom and Samsung being the first client on board to take a package and donate to the Paralympic team,” said Cook.
The partnership follows on from the Australian Paralympic Committee’s campaign promoting its fundraising efforts which saw the organisation urge the the Australian public to ‘pledge their belief’ in the Australian Paralympic Team and donate to make sure the athletes can get to Sochi.
