QBE Insurance launches VR AFL film for Sydney Swans

QBE Insurance and the Sydney Swans AFL team have launched a virtual reality film, Swans360.

Swans360 enables fans to embark on a 360 degree tour of the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and experience what it is like to be a player on game day.

During the four minute VR experience – developed by sports and entertainment agency, Octagon, and production company Rapid – users will be taken through the change rooms, the coach’s huddle and out on the field.

The 360 film will be available to fans before every home game in the QBE Fan Zone and officially launches on Sunday, April 1.

Bettina Pidcock, QBE chief customer officer, said in a statement: “For 32 years, we’ve been like the 23rd player in the team, so we wanted to give fans the opportunity to step into our shoes and have a truly immersive match day experience.
