TorchMedia_GuideDogsQLD_08Queensland Rail has graciously donated the external advertising space on one of their trains to Guide Dogs Queensland from July onwards. Partnering with TorchMedia, this is the latest of campaigns for charities that have been featured on the outside of trains in Australia.

The campaign encourages people to ‘Join the Journey’ of a Guide Dog, from puppy to a lifelong companion. There are more than 90,000 blind Australian’s, with another 25,000 people expected to lose their vision in the next 5 years. Guide Dogs Queensland seek to raise both awareness and funds for the training of future Guide Dogs, enabling people who are blind or vision impaired to lead a higher quality of life.

With the potential to reach over 400,000 train commuters weekly, the transit campaign cuts through the busy train platform to speak directly with Brisbane train users.

“Transit advertising is one of the most powerful and far reaching formats available to brands at the moment,” said Kirsty Dollisson, GM of TorchMedia. “For a charity like Guide Dogs Queensland it affords them the opportunity to raise awareness with commuters and encourage them to volunteer or donate.”

TorchMedia manages all exterior advertising on metro trains in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
