Dr Mumbo,
I think you need to re-think your comment.
This is just as misfortunate for rugby union as it is any other code, especially as Karmichael Hunt was until this scandal broke a) the Reds vice-captain; and b) touted as a possible inclusion in the Wallabies World Cup squad later this year.
The use of recreational drugs by any athlete in any code is a problem for sport, and society in general not just any particular team in any particular code.
Thanks Paddy – we have tweaked the story now.
Cheers,
Miranda – Mumbrella
Had you spent any time whatsoever, you’d have very easily uncovered that Karmichael Hunt is actually a Reds player.
That’s a Union team.
So…….I guess there is a story about unfortunate media placement, but thats not really a story.
Hi Miranda,
It still isn’t quite right.
From what I have read the charges against Karmichael (and others) stem from a period of time when he was between codes (AFL and rugby union). Your original premise appeared to be aimed purely at rugby league, probable because a) he used to play that code; and b) other ex and current league players are also involved.
Cheers,
Paddy
