Quiip makes four promotions as it restructures team

Social media and community management company, Quiip, has restructured and, in the process, promoted four staff to newly-created roles.

Senior community consultants Amber Robinson, Larah Kennedy, and Lauren Piro have all been elevated to director positions, while community consultant Pierette Langford becomes the leader of social content services.

The four promotions were effective from the start of the month

Robinson – who joined the business on a permanent basis in April with Venessa Paech – has the new role of marketing director. She has led large women’s online communities and managed the social media presence of brands such as Microsoft and Lenovo.

Kennedy is now client services director after five years at Quiip. Previously, she has been senior project officer on the Health Towns program for New South Wale’s North Coast Primary Health Network, and social media manager at 12WBT and Resonate Solutions.

And Piro’s promotion sees her become people and culture director after 10 years with the business, during which time she has been team lead and ‘happiness sherpa’.

“Our restructure to accommodate these promotions reflects the quality and ability of our proven high performing team to grow into more senior roles, and our unwavering commitment to driving a diverse, inclusive, people-first work culture within our business,” said CEO Alison Michalk.

“Additionally, we have recognised the need to nurture our growing client base and help them manage their online presence comprehensively – particularly with the renewed focus on online delivery models due to COVID-19. Additional content services will allow our clients the piece of mind to meet all their social and online community needs with one service provider.”

All four promotions were effective from 1 September.

Last month, the business launched an industry-first resilience training program, targeted at combating overwork and burnout.
