Screen Shot 2015-05-12 at 10.58.03 AMRoyal Automobile Club of Queensland is to resume its search for a creative agency after appointing former financial services marketer Renee Davidson as its head of marketing, Mumbrella can reveal.

Davidson started yesterday, and restarting the stalled pitch process among her priorities.

The process had been put on hold last month when RACQ marketing and communications head John Devaney quit mid way through the pitch.

Incumbent SapientNitro, Clemenger BBDO Brisbane and JuniorCru are believed to be the agencies contesting the pitch.

Davidson joins RACQ after a career spanning the Commonwealth Bank, BT Financial Group, Royal Bank of Scotland and most recently ANZ Global Wealth.
