Ray Meagher builds website for his ‘Flamin hot sauce’ in new GoDaddy campaign
Home and Away star Ray Meagher is building a website to sell his new hot sauce, as part of a new campaign for small business tech provider, GoDaddy.
The ad sees Meagher – who plays Alf Stewart in Seven’s long running soap opera – describe how he launched a website www.raysflaminhotsauce.com.au to promote his sauce.
The latest campaign, conceived by the With Collective, aims to show how easy it is to launch a website for small businesses, even for those who are not good with technology.
It is a shame that Raysflaminghotsauce.com.au is not a working domain name. it is raysflaminghotsauce.com. Shame you spent all that money for someone to either get the domain registration wrong or the script writer didn’t check their facts before putting it to air. It is true that making a website is really easy – that is not necessarily going to generate any sales or revenue for the website owner – to suggest that simply having a website is going to automatically improve sales is wrong, and certainly it is not going to generate any revenue if the wrong website address is supplied in advertising. Major Faux Pas, or at best sloppy work – is it a reflection of the quality of GoDaddy or the quality of the advertising campaign?
