Realestate.com.au targets first time buyers with ‘how to home loan’ series

Realestate.com.au has revealed the first episode of its new online campaign ‘How to Home Loan.’

The online series is written by and stars comedian Jess Harris and addresses the challenges of modern house buying, from bank meetings to keeping up with one’s avocado on toast intake.

Created in conjunction with Melbourne production agency, Glue Content, the campaign seeks to raise awareness of realestate.com.au’s home loans.

Harris said in a statement: “This campaign is about being honest and unfiltered, speaking directly to women looking at entering the property market by themselves for the first time. As a single, thirty-something woman myself, I wrote exactly what I would want to see and hear.

“I hope that by acknowledging, in a humorous way, that the property journey can be bumpy, young women will feel empowered and motivated that they can actually pull this house buying thing off!”

Eloise Wall, Real Estate Australia Group general manager of financial experiences, said: “We’re really excited to launch our new ‘How to Home Loan’ video series with Jess Harris. She’s created such a cheerful and encouraging take on the challenges of the first home buyer experience that many Aussies will be able to relate to.

“Realestate.com.au Home Loans is all about helping every day Australians navigate the property and home loan journey and we think this is a great way to shed some light on the process in a way that sets us apart from traditional banks and brokers.”
