Rebel appoints The Monkeys to its creative account

Rebel has named The Monkeys as its lead creative agency.

The appointment expands The Monkeys’ relationship with Rebel’s owner Super Retail Group, which also houses BCF. The Monkeys won BCF’s creative account in May 2019.

Work for the brand has already begun to roll out, with Rebel counting down to tonight’s return of the AFL on billboards across Melbourne.

The Monkeys’ remit will include brand, communications and creative.

This year, The Monkeys has won the creative accounts for The Australian Grand Prix Corporation and Tourism Western Australia. In December it was appointed creative agency of record for Drink Wise.

Rebel general manager of customer and marketing, Jenny Gulliver, said: “We are working with a true partner to Rebel, one that is delivering powerful ideas that can be fully integrated into our business. We are delighted to have found that in The Monkeys.”

The Monkeys CEO, Paul McMillan, added: “There is no doubt that sport is calling us now more than ever, not only for our physical health, but also our mental wellbeing. We are delighted to be working with the team at Rebel, a place where I bought my first soccer boots back in 1985.”
