The second episode of Ten’s new cooking and product marketing show Recipe to Riches missed OzTam’s list of the top 20 programs of the night last night, with just 588,000 viewers across the five city metro.

Ratings for the show in which Droga5 creative chairman David ‘Nobby’ Nobay provides marketing advice to chef entrepreneurs declined from last week’s debut of 616,000 viewers when it was 18th for the night. Yesterday it was 21st.

Last week Ten pushed back a new episode of US drama series Under the Dome to 9.30pm to launch Recipe to Riches at 8.30pm, however this week Recipe to Riches aired in what is planned as its regular 7.30pm timeslot now Masterchef is over, but could not compete with Seven and Nine.

Border Security on Channel Seven had 1.092m viewers at 7.30pm and Big Brother’s live nominations on Channel Nine had an audience of 812,000 across the five cities.

Top program of the night was Channel Seven’s The Force Behind the Line on at 8pm, which had 1.127m viewers, and an episode of Channel Seven drama Winners and Losers, on from 8.30pm, was the top show among 25-54s. Winners and Losers had just over a million metro viewers.

Under the Dome had 773,000 viewers at 9.30pm, and was sixth for the night among Ten’s target demographic of 25-54s, while Recipe to Riches was 11th in its target category.

In Recipe to Riches, three mentors dish out advice to chefs wanting to sell their product in the mass market, and last night’s winner Sara-Jade Bradbury’s chilli con carne will be made available in Woolworths supermarkets from today.

Ten was fourth for the night in share behind ABC1.
